Wellness is my life’s pursuit. As the owner of vigor + vim, I see a diverse range of clients looking for pain-relief, relaxation, movement therapy and coaching on well-being. I believe that health is a collective effort of body, mind and spirit; all are important to feeling vibrantly alive.
In 2012, I was invited to develop, plan and implement an experiential anatomy training for Open Door Yoga’s Teacher Training program. I ran the program for three years, and enjoyed watching students learn about the amazing capacities of their bodies through somatic-based exercises.
Travel and adventure: My most enlivening experience took me to the remote jungle in Ecuador, engaging the local community in reforestation work and sustainable practices to protect the environment. In 2008, I spent a year and a half in Europe for school, an internship, volunteer work, sustainable farming and living like a rebellious 23 year old amidst existential crises.
For three months in 2015, I did a work exchange at a holistic yoga retreat in Costa Rica. There, I played numerous roles as event planner, photographer, yoga teacher and blogger. I also toured through pristine jungles, kayaked in the Gulfo Dulce and fell in love with the raucous Macaws.
My joys include care-taking, contact improvisation dance, traveling, nutrition, social justice, movement as therapy, activitsm, experiential anatomy and restorative yoga.
